My Story

My name is Marner Johannesen. I’m 14 years old, and I come from the Faroe Islands — a small group of islands in the North Atlantic where life teaches you resilience early.

When I was seven, my family lived in a trailer. It was me, my mum, my sister, and a stray cat we had taken in. Life wasn’t easy, but we stayed together and kept moving forward.

Over time, things changed. We found stability. We rebuilt our lives. We came back stronger.

That experience became the foundation of this brand.

Respawned comes from gaming. When you respawn, you don’t quit — you return wiser, tougher, and ready to try again. That’s what my family did. We respawned.

I started Respawned to give something back to the people who sacrificed everything for me. My dad spent 40 years at sea as a fisherman, ten of them as a captain, working through storms and long nights to support our family. He doesn’t even know this brand exists yet — I’m building it to surprise him.

I’m also doing this for the small things that matter: my family, my cats, and the life we worked hard to build together.

I’m not a big company.
I’m a 14-year-old from a small island with a big dream and almost no budget.

But I’ve already learned one thing:

No matter where you start, you can always respawn.
